2015: Ji Won Jun, Art Center Fellow


Body, Materials, and Electronics is a series of small-scale projects to explore a playful relationship between human body and an object/device. Through a combination of lifecasting, digital fabrication, and prototyping, the projects investigate a creation of sculptural objects that would interact with a human body.

Ji Won Jun is a designer crafting future experience in intersections of emergent technologies and design. Ji Won received MFA degree in Media Design Practices from ArtCenter College of Design and BFA in Visual Communication Design from Kookmin University in South Korea. Her practice encompasses research, prototyping, user interface design, and public art, and her MFA thesis project Plant-like Robot won SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards for Student Innovation. She currently lives in Silicone Valley and works for HP Inc. as a research engineer in Immersive Experiences Lab. http://jiwonjun.com/
